    44% think it likely that Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party would try to bring back industrial laws similar to WorkChoices and 26% think it unlikely.

    Since this question was asked in May 2013 (before the election of the Abbott Government), those thinking it likely has dropped from 51% to 44% – mostly due to an increase in “don’t know” from 23% to 29%.

    41% said they would be very or quite concerned if the Liberal Government reintroduced WorkChoices or similar laws and 37% said they would be only a little or not concerned. These results are almost identical to those from when the question was asked in May 2013.

    Respondents were a little more likely to think that Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party would try to bring back industrial laws similar to WorkChoices than when a similar question was asked in March. 51% (up 3%) think it is likely that Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party would try to bring back industrial laws similar to WorkChoices if they won the next election and 27% (down 1%) think it is unlikely.

    78% (up 11%) of Labor voters and 84% (up 17%) of Greens voters think it is likely, while Liberal/National voters split 28% likely (down 3%) to 48% unlikely (up 4%).

    72% of Labor voters and 77% of Greens voters would be concerned. 70% of Liberal/National voters would be a little/not concerned and 17% concerned.  41% of full-time workers and 37% of part-time workers said they would be very/quite concerned.

    45% of those aged 25-64 said they would be very/quite concerned.

    67% (down 7%) of Labor voters and 67% (down 1%) of Greens voters think it is likely, while Liberal/National voters are split 31% likely (down 2%) to 44% unlikely (up 1%).

    72% of Labor voters and 73% of Greens voters would be concerned. 71% of Liberal/National voters would be a little/not concerned and 16% concerned.  47% of full-time workers and 52% of part-time workers said they would be very/quite concerned.

    52% of those aged 45-54 said they would be very/quite concerned.

    Respondents were a little less likely to think that Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party would try to bring back industrial laws similar to WorkChoices than when a similar question was asked in July. 51% (down 2%) think it is likely that Tony Abbott and the Liberal Party would try to bring back industrial laws similar to WorkChoices if they won the next election and 25% (up 3%) think it is unlikely.

    74% of Labor voters and 68% of Greens voters think it is likely, while Liberal/National voters are split 33% likely (down 7%) to 43% unlikely (up 9%).

    71% of Labor voters and 60% of Greens voters would be concerned. 73% of Liberal/National voters would be a little/not concerned and 18% concerned.  42% of full-time workers and 44% of part-time workers said they would be very/quite concerned.

    49% of those aged 45-64 said they would be very/quite concerned.
